Building Revenue in the Built Environment.
I advise product vendors, contractors, property owners, and design professionals on how to identify growth opportunities earlier, strengthen the relationships that influence decisions, and turn those opportunities into revenue.
Find Opportunities. Build Relationships. Grow Revenue.
Two Ways I Help Grow Revenue
Create New Opportunities
Markets + Projects + Relationships
I identify where new revenue can come from — new projects, markets, specifications, partnerships, services, customers, or uses for existing property.
The goal is to find meaningful opportunities before they become obvious, competitive, or commoditized.
Capture More Value
Positioning + Strategy + Execution
I help determine how to pursue the strongest opportunities through better positioning, relationship development, specification strategy, partnerships, design thinking, and business development.
The goal is to turn opportunity into qualified pipeline, revenue, NOI, or long-term business value.
Who I Help
-
Product Vendors
Build architect relationships, uncover projects earlier, improve specification strategy, and create more qualified sales opportunities.
-
Contractors & Builders
Create opportunities before the bid, strengthen owner and designer relationships, and differentiate beyond price.
-
Property Owners
Identify new revenue opportunities, improve utilization and NOI, and make stronger investment decisions.
-
Specifiers & Design Firms
Strengthen positioning, deepen client relationships, create educational value, and identify new avenues for growth.
From Opportunity to Revenue
-
1. Identify
Look for meaningful opportunities across markets, projects, relationships, specifications, services, partnerships, or property.
Where could additional revenue come from?
-
2. Understand
Study the business, customers, market, current relationships, positioning, pipeline, and constraints.
Why isn't that opportunity being captured today?
-
3. Evaluate
Assess demand, fit, competition, economics, decision-makers, timing, and probability of success.
Is this opportunity worth pursuing?
-
4. Build the Strategy
Define the positioning, relationships, outreach, partnerships, specification strategy, or property concept needed to pursue it.
What is the smartest path forward?
-
5. Help Capture It
Stay involved where useful to develop relationships, support business development, advance projects, improve specifications, or help guide implementation.
How do we turn the opportunity into revenue?
You Work Directly With Me
Michael McCullough
After nearly two decades working across design, construction, specifications, and business ownership, I started noticing the same pattern:
Many of the best revenue opportunities are created long before the traditional sale.
A product may be selected months before procurement. A contractor may have an opportunity before a project is bid. An owner may have unrealized revenue sitting inside an existing property. A design firm may have expertise it has never fully translated into business growth.
That is where I work.
I combine design thinking, market insight, business development, and relationship strategy to help clients identify where value is being missed and develop a practical path to capture it.
You work directly with me throughout the engagement, with additional specialists brought in when needed.
My goal: I help you find opportunities worth pursuing and create substantially more value than the cost of my involvement.
